This year, the scholarship raffle will launch on November 1st! The DDCA Board is using our Betterworld fundraising platform again this season to raise funds for the 2025 Dance Scholarships. We have raised over $3,500 in scholarship donations since the Fall of 2023 using the Betterworld platform. It is easy to just donate to the DDCA Scholarship fund through the platform if you prefer, or you can participate in one of the dynamic and exciting raffle basket giveaways. It would be amazing if we could double our donation/raffle earnings in the next several weeks through the 2024-2025 raffle campaign. A goal of $3,500 in 6-7 weeks is a tall task, but it is possible with your help. Even raising $2,000 would be enough for 2-3 DDCA scholarships.
This time around we have received generous donations, collectively worth over $3,500, from dozens of organizations . The donations have been dispersed and combined into various baskets of prizes that you can win. From doughnuts to dance performances, from bundt cakes to baseball... there is something in at least one of the basket that you can enjoy with friends or family. If you win, you can take a friend or two on a little adventure with each prize... a fun outing with your BFF, some family play-time with the kids, or a romantic date with that special person in your life.
For this campaign, each single entry is $10, with varying tiers of packages. $25 will get you 3 entries, and $100 will get you 15 entries. All prizes are valued between $200-$600. Remember, each entry is another step towards a dance scholarship for a deserving dancer, so if you only choose to enter one raffle, you have contributed and brought us closer to our goal.
In order for this raffle to be successful, it is not only essential that the DDCA membership participates if they can, but more importantly, it is important to share the raffle with friends and family. Post a link on your facebook page or social media, then post again a few days later, then tell a friend and post again. Share the fundraiser with your team and team families, and team families' families. The more $10 donations we receive through the raffle, the more scholarships we can award at the State Championships in 2025. Every little bit helps.
Participants must be 18+ to enter the raffles, and 21+ for alcohol related prizes. All age restrictions are indicated on the prize baskets. Please see our Betterworld website for raffle info and prizes. Remember, the raffle prizes will be ready for entries after November 1st.
The drawing will be held during the DDCA Invitational Dance Competition on December 14, 2024. Winners will be contacted via email, and you do not need to be present to win. All winners will be notified through the info provided when purchasing the raffle ticket online. Oregon law indicates that participants must be in the state of Oregon at the time of purchase, so keep that in mind.
